Student Leadership

Student Leadership

At Fountain College, we believe in preparing students for the real world by fostering a sense of responsibility, leadership, and community.

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) embodies these principles, consisting of two representatives from each class, spanning Years 6 to 12. These students serve as the voice of their peers, addressing and acting upon ideas and issues presented to them.

The SRC members play a pivotal role in organising and representing the school at both internal and external events. Our Year 11 representatives serve as vice-captains, providing support to the school captains in Year 12. Through these leadership roles, students develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, preparing them to face future challenges with confidence and capability.

Weekly SRC meetings provide a platform for discussing school-related issues, planning events, and generating ideas that positively impact the school community. The actions and decisions made during these meetings are guided by our core values:

  • Responsibility
  • Integrity
  • Respect
  • Resilience
  • Communication
  • Courage
  • Fairness and Justice
  • Innovation

These values are fundamental in nurturing effective leadership skills and equipping our students to make meaningful contributions in their future endeavours. At Fountain College, we are dedicated to developing leaders who are not only capable but also compassionate and driven to make a positive impact.
