The Year 10 cohort is monitored closely by the Senior Secondary Team Leader. Guidance and support is provided accordingly to help students achieve their maximum potential.
During Term 3, the subject selection process is begun at Fountain College. Three rounds of forms are provided to students for them to select their subjects. Round One provides the list of subjects that are available for the students to select. Round Two provides the subjects in each stream in which students choose one option in each stream. Round Three, the final round, is a confirmation of the subjects the student has chosen. During each round, the Senior Secondary Team Leader is involved.
Where the student doesn’t meet the criteria for a certain subject, the Senior Secondary Team Leader meets with the student, and where necessary, the parent.
In Year 11 and 12, students begin their WACE journey. Depending on a student’s academic success, interest and career aspirations, students will continue their WACE journey via the General Pathway or ATAR Pathway at Fountain College.

The WACE Coordinator (same person as the Senior Secondary Team Leader) closely monitors the progress of each student during Year 11 and 12. The WACE Coordinator acts as the “go-to” person for all needs of students in Year 11 and 12.
The Careers Advisor also assists students in shedding light onto career pathways they may be interested in. Together with the WACE Coordinator, the Careers Advisor organises opportunities for students to engage in experiences that will help them select a career of interest to them. Opportunities include career expos, university visits and incursions, and discussions with graduates who are studying or working in their respective fields.
