Enrolment Process

Enrolment Process

Applications for the 2027 academic year are now open.

All applications are carefully reviewed, with consideration given to both academic performance and behaviour.

Students applying for Years 1 or 2 will be invited to attend an interview.

Applicants for Years 3–12 will be invited to sit an entrance examination on Saturday, 20 June.

Students applying for Kindergarten or Pre-Primary will be invited to attend an observation session as part of the enrolment process.

Please note that applications received after 12 June 2026 will be placed on a waitlist.

The enrolment process is outlined below:

1. Expression of Interest

To apply for a place at Fountain College, please submit an Expression of Interest form. This can be done in one of two ways:

  • Online: Submit the Expression of Interest form here
  • In person: Visit us at 12 Karri Way, Ferndale WA 6148

Please ensure you also upload or bring a copy of your child’s most recent semester report and NAPLAN results (if applicable).

Our enrolment team will review the reports, paying close attention to academic performance, teacher comments, and attendance. If your child meets the initial criteria, you will be invited to proceed with a full application.

2. Application

Submit the Application for Enrolment form along with all required documents by:

Please note: A non-refundable application fee of $50 is required when submitting the form.

3. Entrance Exam

Eligible applicants from Year 3 to Year 12 will be invited to sit an Entrance Exam on Saturday, 20 June.

The exam includes reading and numeracy components, designed to match your child’s age level. Students who meet the minimum education outcomes may then be invited for an interview with their family.

4. Interview & Observation Day

For Years 1–12
The interview is a critical part of the enrolment process. One or both parents must attend the interview with their child. This is a great opportunity to discuss important details about our school and for parents to ask any questions they may have.

For Kindergarten & Pre-Primary
Children applying for Kindergarten or Pre-Primary will attend an Observation Day. At least one parent must attend with the child.

5. Offer of Enrolment

Following the interview and entrance exam (if applicable), you will receive one of the following:

  • Offer of Enrolment
  • Placement on the Waitlist
  • Notification of Unsuccessful Application

All offers will be made in writing and will include a Contract of Enrolment. This contract must be signed by both parents/guardians and returned to the college with all supporting documents. If the college does not receive a response within 2 weeks, the position will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

6. Acceptance

  1. Acceptance

To confirm your child’s place, you must:

  • Pay a non-refundable enrolment fee of $100
  • Return the signed contract and all required documents

Once these steps are completed, we will send you an official Confirmation of Enrolment Letter.

7. Orientation Day

All new students from Year 1 to Year 12 will be invited to attend Orientation Day. This helps students become familiar with the school environment, expectations, and daily routines.
