Enrolment Process

Enrolment Process

Applying for a place at Fountain College is easy. You can complete and submit your online application from your home or at the campus if you need assistance.

The enrolment procedure at Fountain College is as follows:

In order to apply for a place at Fountain College, it is necessary to complete the application form online or at our campus, if you need assistance.

1. Application

In order to apply for a place at Fountain College, it is necessary to complete an Application of Enrolment and submit it with the relevant documentation.

Please email the completed form and supporting documents to enrolments@fountain.wa.edu.au or submit in person at our Ferndale Campus located at 12 Karri Way, Ferndale WA 6148.

Please note that all applicants will be charged a $50 non-refundable fee.

2. Entrance Exam

Successful applicants from Year 3 – Year 12 are invited to sit an entrance exam on a scheduled date by the college.

The exam will have a reading, writing and numeracy component with generic questions at a difficulty level corresponding to your child’s age.
Students who meet the minimum education outcomes may then be invited for an interview with their family.

3. Interview/Observation Day (Only Kindergarten & Pre-Primary)

The interview is a critical part of the enrolment process. One or both the parents must attend the interview with their child. It is a great opportunity to discuss important details about our school and for parents to ask any questions they may have.

Students applying for Kindergarten and Pre-Primary will be invited to an observation session. One or both parents are required to attend.

4. Offer of Enrolment

Following the entrance exam and interview, applicants will either receive an offer of enrolment, a place on the waitlist or a declined letter.

All offers will be made in writing and will be accompanied by the Contract of Enrolment. The contract is to be signed by both parents/guardians and returned to the college. If the college does not receive a response within 4 weeks, the position will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

5. Acceptance

In order to secure a place, parents will be asked to pay a non-refundable enrolment fee of $100. Once the fee has been paid and all the supporting documents have been received, an acceptance letter will be sent to the parents.

6. Orientation Day

All students from Year 1 to Year 12 will be invited for Orientation Day. This will help students familiarise themselves with the school environment and the school code of conduct and procedures.
